After the huge success of Ford Fiesta and Ford Ikon in mid-sized sedan segment now auto major Ford plans to launch another stunning model Ford Figo in Indian market to make it position strong also in premium hatchback segment. Ford Figo is a premium hatchback segment model that is expected to be launched in Indian market in the month of January this year. Indian auto market is dominated by hatchback segment cars as more than 70% customers comes for small hatchback segment cars but company’s existing hatchback model Ford Fusion is not doing well in this segment. So, the company wants to tap more market share in this segment with the launch of Ford Figo.
Ford India plans to launch Ford Figo with a highly competitive price tag to compete with other major players of this segment like Maruti, Hyundai and Tata. However, Ford refused to say about the exact prices of Ford Figo but company official indicates that it will be priced in the range of Rs 3.5 lacs to Rs 5 lacs. Ford India plans to launch Ford Figo with both petrol and diesel models. Its stylish look, exciting interior and exterior features that Ford promises to available with this car and other advanced features that will be available with comparatively low price tag, will surely give it a good start.
